How will climate change impact the lives of people living in small islands? What can be done to better adapt to these impacts? In May 2006 an earthquake struck near the Kingdom of Tonga, resulting in a portion of Lifuka Isalnd's coastline subsiding twenet-three centimetres; also bearing grat impact on the island communities' living conditions, water supplies and food security. Journey to Lifuka in Tonga's Ha'apai group to witness how the Australian government's Pacific Adaptation Strategy Assistance Program (PASAP) is working with the island's communities to assess vulnerability and options for adaptation to sea-level rise. The answers could help people better prepare for, and adapt to, one of the biggest issues facing the world today.
