This episode of the Pacific Way features a documentary and a short film. The first looks at the story of a Tongan who impalped fifteen Fijian warriors on bamboo stakes. The documentary "Hold back the Mighty Torrents" shows how the warrior later named Wainiqolo lived amongst the people of Lau in the 1820's. The film goes on to tell the story of the Tongan invasion of Fiji, the cession of Fiji to Great Britain, Millennium celebrations in Vanua Balavu, Fiji and the 150 years of Tongan settlement in Fiji. The second story is a short film produced by participants at the scrip-writing workshop in Tahiti in February 2006 provides an insight into Tahiti's most recent social issue-the homeless
