In this episode of the Pacific Way we feature highlights of two festivals held in different parts of the Pacific. The first story is a look at the rich and diverse cultures of five Pacific Islands nations as witnessed in the opening of the third Melanesian Arts and Culture Festival held in Suva, Fiji. The second festival highlights the aspirations and hopes of young people at the Pacific Islands Youth Festival in Tahiti, French Polynesia. A series of stories on projects to improve sustainable development in the region confronts challlenges brought about by globalization, international trade, unsustainable management of natural resources and the impacts of climate change.
