Summary: 'Faith and hope': With 12 thousand peolple known to be living with HIV/AIDS in the South Pacific, a region that is predominantly religious, religions have to face a reality that calls for the reassessment of their teachings. 'Faith and hope' looks at the role of the clergy, in particular, the attitude of the Hare Krishna Movement, a Hindu denomination and their teachings about sex, HIV prevention and support for people living with HIV/AIDS. 'Faith and hope' exemplifies that there is still that ray of hope in the avenue that Pacific islanders have so much faith in: Religion. 'Taking the test': Opportunities for good documentaries are rare especially in a training environment. However, when on opportunity for a story presented itself, the participants took advantage of it and the result is quite amazing. 'Taking the test' targets youth. The story began when one of the participants decided to go for HIV test. The participant was motivated after listening to the series of lectures presented by well known HIV/AIDS advocates in Fiji. The documentary challenges youths to take advantage of free HIV testing (voluntary, confidential counseling and testing - VCCT) that are made available in each region.
