In late 2004, a UNIFEM/SPC film crew visited the Papua New Guinea province of Bougainville, where the forced shutdown of the multi-million dollar foreign-owned Panguna copper mine in late 1988 turned a national government against its cash-spinning province and a small island community on itself.
