"Ce rapport decrit une etude bathymetrique multifaisceaux du lagon de Rangiroa et les zones cotieres autour de la jante de l'atoll du nord-ouest (pres de Tivaru) au nord (pres de Ataiaheo motu). Le sondage a ete une composante du soutien a la reduction des risques de catastrophes dans les pays dioutre-mer du Pacifique et des projets de territoires, menee par le Secretariat de la Division geosciences appliquees Communaute du Pacifique, en collaboration avec le Service de l'urbanisme, et les Phares et service de Beacons. Ce volet du projet a appele a une enquete sur le littoral et lagune fonds marins de Rangiroa Atoll. L'enquete a ete realisee a l'aide d'un sondeur multifaisceaux sur une periode de six mois (Juillet a Decembre 2011). This report describes a multibeam bathymetric survey of Rangiroa Lagoon and nearshore areas around the atoll rim, from the northwest (near Tivaru) to the northeast (near Ataiaheo motu). The survey was a component of the Supporting Disaster Risk Reduction in Pacific Overseas Countries and Territories project, conducted by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community Applied Geoscience Division, in collaboration with the Urban Planning Department, and the Lighthouses and Beacons Service. This project component called for an investigation of the nearshore and lagoon seabed of Rangiroa Atoll. The survey was carried out using a multibeam echosounder over a period of six months (July to December 2011)"
